A Raindrop and a Star
Can’t say I’ve seen the moon large over waters,
or viewed far horizons in the sky.
But moonlight pearls come through my kitchen window,
and in its silver whiteness,” My oh My.”
Can’t say I’ve seen the vast breast of the ocean,
or walked along her shores of sand at night.
But I've beheld an atmosphere of diamonds,
a darkness filled with stars that sparkled bright.
Can’t say I’ve seen a heaven with no land below,
just miles and miles of sea to look upon.
But heavy rains and winds beat at my window,
as I feel the force of storm and water on.
Can’t say I’ve seen all beauties of this wondrous world,
though pictures often take you close by far.
Yet there will always be earth, water, air and fire.
For now, I’ll set my sights upon a raindrop and a star
