A Quiet Place

The world around me has always been busy and loud. It’s always been difficult for me to find a quiet place. Ever since I was young, I feel I’ve gotten lost in the crowd. I just wanted somewhere to go that I could call my own space. The more I see of the people around me, the more I weep. But I’m not a recluse; I do like to be around others. It’s because, in my world, I find it difficult to sleep. Being deaf, my mind is the quiet place where I’m not smothered.
