Written in Yalto form, invented by Edward Ibeh

a quick snow, Georgia awaits, unless a cloud breaks shell, lambasting with lace. outlandish wake up… rubbing eyes; genie grants wishes to school kids. parents a-salt-ing, shove and shovel of flakes, when balls of snow attack.

It snowed for a few moments in the desert today, just a few flakes, but so awesome! What a fun poem Kim, I love imagining parents clearing the walks and suddenly the kids and parents are in the midst of a snowball fight! So fun!

Doesn't take much snow to snarl traffic in Atlanta, GA, I hear.

I like the rustic tones of this poem. It sounds like a Currier & Ives painting. Who won the snowball fight?

Ah, snow days...here, it snowed and it's going to snow again soon. I loved your fresh perspective. <3

An entire snow episode in a compact poem. Lovely, complete imagery of family life during a snow storm. Love the happy time of shoveling while the kids are hitting you with snow balls. Great, cheerful read.

Hi Kim, I know nothing of the "Yalto" form, but I love the imagery, especially "lambasting with lace." Not my style of writing but certainly a soulful and uplifting "peace" of poetry. Kudos, cheers & all the best, Terrell
