A Prodigy

Turning onto reflection street again Walking down the quietness of its path Toward the Cathedral....This place of hope! In need of direction, and strength to carry on Finding myself often, drawn to this need Amid the constant scatterings I find.... Pondering these past few months The things that I have written The words that I have spoken The belief, that I have held.... A rift in time Of a time, that I once knew! The winds stirring, tossing all about Rising before me now These raybions, of praelodial light Light, within this moment This moment in life.... A prodigy It seems to have become! A calling, however surreal to behold For yet still The shadows of the hauntings past The sins of fleshs falls Linger, within their chains of doubt Mingled, with this cloud of uncertainty The residue, of ones own weakness Trying to navigate, beyond its relentless siege.... Opening the doors, to this ancient temple This sanctuary, of fortified walls Slowly, down its crimson aisles Past the souls, that fill its golden pews! Dreamistic views, of Gods own prophets Upon the altar Stainglassed windows, with endless eyes.... Glancing, toward the cherubic figures Statues.... Trickling waters, that bring them life! Life, that brought me here Bowing silently, at the feet of Christ.... Beyond the curtain long removed By the blood, of "His Sacrifice!" Mist in my eyes Humbly upon my knees Within the holy, of the holies I softly speak....Here am I, dear Lord "Dear Lord!".... Turning onto reflection street Walking down, the quietness of its path!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Prodigy

If we need direction and solace God will lead us to where we need to be, if we only ask Him. It's easy to get caught up in our daily living and there are a lot of distractions in this world. Thank you for all of your kind and thoughtful comments, John and as always this is another deep and thought provoking write. Love Robin (2 Peter 3:14-18) God Bless!

John I too am so grateful we can come boldly before the throne of grace. Its hard sometimes to accept that all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and it is done. It is our nature to punish and place blame and our loving Father wants none of it. All who are heavy laden come and be given rest. Very inspiring, thank you. Laurie

The past is sometimes haunting. This reminds me of my poem 'a Ghost of Joy'. The past is always there to taunt and haunt us. Reflection street describes it all and yes, your observations are correct, thanks for your comments...Raul

Hello John...this poem speaks to me today especially. My husband and I have just returned from a funeral mass, for a long time co-worker, in our local Sacred Heart church, with the sun streaming in those stained glass windows, and the frescos on the walls, with the music, and touching words, and those are the times we sit and reflect on our own lives, if we have honored God, if we are worthy. It gives one time to pause...as does your poem. ~ Carrie

thing's and your insight goes beyond it happening to you. Your encouragement's and caringness is beyond a friend. It is a love that only can come from Jesus. You have that my brother. I will give to you a warm embrace. You have been there for me from the beginning and I am so so grateful for your Kindness. Through God's grace I can put this behind me but John I'm not a quitter and that's why it's been so difficult. When I said I will be there forever I meant what I said. Thank you John Rhinem
