A Poets Day

A Poet sits in a chair..

Not sleeping, lost in a stare..

Wonders where next line will come..

A task not easy or filled with fun..

Dribble drable will the readers take..

Or perhaps label this poet a fake..

Maybe a line may take off and scream..

Or just a mans way to blow off steam..

No more to write, the cap is on the pen..

Now just copy and paste and submit to send..

A comment or two may just make my day..

For all at Soup enjoy my say..

Oh so many times I sit in that chair, lost in a stare, wondering about never mind a line, but even a word, as a matter of fact, I am doing that right now " I loved, A Poets Day" you captured what many of us do, every single day, that is the nature of the writer~~

What a brilliant sketch of any Poet's thoughts with both positive and negative apprehensions, which comes to every poets’ mind, while writing then copying and pasting the Poem on PS. Beautiful write my friend and many thank for appreciating my poem on Dark Clouds. Love and best wishes with all the good wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year......Ravindra....Michael J. Sometimes it flow. Sometimes it don't. But if one line "takes off and screams" it's worth it. Good write, Mike. Dave

Hi Michael. Thanks for your comment. I am not sure if I am anti war or just a coward. Never had the chance to find out and never want to. You got the highs and lows of the writer just right here. Dribble is me. i just write and write. Then read it back and try to salvage something. I'm afraid that the delete button is my best friend. Great work. Eamon
