Why Are There Stars
If one asks why there are stars,
they might as well ask, why is there life?
Life exists because stars exist; without stars
there would be nothing;
everything comes from the stars!
The word of God, the Big Bang, or a collaboration of both,
created the universe, an infinitely complex matrix
that ultimately created life.
Stars are creators;
they supply all the essential elements for life.
Our planet orbits a small yellow star
that someday will expand into
a red giant and swallow the Earth, destroying all life.
And yet, if it weren't for that very same star,
humans would never have existed in the first place.
That's the irony of the universe,
it can simultaneously nurture and destroy its creations.
We question the stars because we're intelligent beings,
but if we didn't exist, they'd eventually create us.
Stars are synonymous with life,
luckily, the universe has a plethora of them.
For they hold our destiny, supplying all the motivation
Man needs to leave His planet one day,
and explore the universe!
