A Picture of a Sub-Division-W

My sub-division is called the place of old people
There’re no young people in their formative age
With no kids but only single mom or dad in ample
Known as the place of aged people of suffrage.

There’re no young people in their formative age
To regenerate returning to their homes in picture

With no ambitions of the present or the future.

To regenerate returning to their homes in picture
No grown-ups with fervent hope and ambition
With no ambitions of the present or the future
But it’s place the with self-obsessed bohemian.

No grown-ups with fervent hope and ambition
Bothering no more for diapers no happy mother
But it is the place with self-obsessed bohemian.
To take children around to play no happy father.

Too many lonely people living in these subdivisions, Dr. Mehta. This form seems difficult to me, but you made it look easy. Great poem!

Dr. Mehta, this is such a profound and honest depiction of the elderly and aging. As my part-time occupation I work as a certified medical assistant and a certified nursing assistant in the private duty area. I work one on one with the elderly in the privacy of their homes and your poem sums up the spirit in most of the homes I visit. Beautifully done...Lay

I do have a soft spot in my heart for the elderly!I admire them for the will to survive, for their wisdom, for events they seen passing by. .Having no children when you get older can be painful, having children who forget you more painful, having children which gives you trouble is worse than having no kids at all.I wish to grow old one day, alone or not alone,i wish to live a life long life to say.. ThankGod,i'm old :). .lovely poem. .God bless your heart.

Hello Dr. Mehta, When I was younger I took special care to visit many "Old Age Homes" as they are called here. I loved listening to them and learning from them. It was a time I will never forget. You have captured this so well. Thank you As Always, Shar

Our elderly often lead lonely lives, Dr. Ram. Sometimes even their own grown children fail to visit them. I wish we didn't have subdivisions that separate the old from the young. Both age groups can benefit from the interaction so much. A very well written pantoum with a strong message, my friend! Love, Carolyn
