A Perfect Afternoon

Boys in a Pasture

Barefoot pals on a sunny afternoon
Lazing in a field near home
Bathed in quiet color
The joy of doing nothing
Dreaming the dreams of youth
Watching the clouds drift by
Wondering, watching, being boys.
