A Perfect Afternoon

Boys in a Pasture

Barefoot pals on a sunny afternoon
Lazing in a field near home
Bathed in quiet color
The joy of doing nothing
Dreaming the dreams of youth
Watching the clouds drift by
Wondering, watching, being boys.

This is so peaceful and perfectly written to fit this painting. I think it is wonderful how a painting can speak so clearly to ones soul and each soul it speaks to hears a different story. Sorry, just an added thought from me. Great writing and best of luck to you in the contest. Smiles from Lolita
