Prayer for Today

Lord, make captive my heart this day,
So that when you speak, I’ll understand.
When affairs of life tend to cloud my way,
I’ll cling to, and obey, your every command;
Make of me Lord, a more peculiar person,
Keeping promises secure within my heart;
And when affairs of life continually worsen,
To these promises I’ll cling and not depart.
To the world,
A Christian is a peculiar person.
*1 Peter 2:9
