A Pair of Hands
He places his hand right here,
below the one of someone else.
That one hovers. He sits.
Is this an intermission?
Perhaps it will fall, slowly, gently;
perhaps it will touch.
The pause continues.
It floats. He waits.
The movie will proceed.
That hand may
continue to descend,
make contact, so very gently.
