A Notorious City, a Notorious Mayor
Once there was a notorious city
men looted, men killed and raped
from horizon
a notorious Mayor emerged
to make the notorious city
breath freshness of peace
All nights were to be women’s nights
no man to be in city 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Peeping through window
was the only right for men
photography forbidden
And it so happened
women roamed the city six to six
bars, hotels, streets, supermarkets
women moved, women served
no women was half-naked
none was drunk
Comfort women and clients vanished
robbery, burglary vanished
dog-pets as companions appeared
Each night peace whispered in the ears
and minds of the notorious city’s dwellers
notorious city
became notoriously peaceful
