A Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory

A nightingale sings of dawn's glory while The sun peeks across yonder horizon And darkness recedes like a waning smile Greeting sleepy folks slowly a-risin' Bright sunshine allows no compromisin' Banishing memories of bygone care Brings opportunity to those who dare To venture forth where the nightingales fly Never bowing to sorrow and despair But soaking up life in joyous reply. written May 15, 2021 for "This or That, Vol 3" poetry contest sponsored by Edward Ibeh THIRD PLACE WINNER entered "A Lovely Day" Poetry Contest sponsored by BJ Legros Kelley

Hello Milton, Like all bird songs they are beautiful to listen to in the early morning. Their songs are so cheerful. Good luck in the contest. Enjoy your day my friend.

Gorgeous take on the theme, Milt. To me, the other title seems so difficult This title is elegant and beautiful and one can't help but create something lovely. I bet this will place!

Andrea, Emile Pinet did an outstanding job with the title we both found difficult. Hope you'll read his poem.
