A Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory
A nightingale sings of dawn's glory while
The sun peeks across yonder horizon
And darkness recedes like a waning smile
Greeting sleepy folks slowly a-risin'
Bright sunshine allows no compromisin'
Banishing memories of bygone care
Brings opportunity to those who dare
To venture forth where the nightingales fly
Never bowing to sorrow and despair
But soaking up life in joyous reply.
