A New Year's Wish
To Tom and John, Freddie, Bobby and Bill
To read your poems is a privilege, a thrill
To Caren, Andrea, Kim; Alexis, Michelle and Mo
Your every stanza lights my face aglow
To Ilene, Heidi, Evelyn, Line, Regina and Jan
If ever you damsels need rescue, I'm your man
To Lindsay and Bob, Richard and Charlie, and Chris Green
Your poetry's surely some of the finest I've ever seen
And to Angie, PAngie, Paula, Connie and Susan
Over your verses I'm always enthusin'
As for Linda, Brenda, Sara, Jennifer and Carolyn
If I weren't hitched, you (all) I'd love to be marryin'
No doubt I've left many fine poetry friends out
Which I sincerely regret, but please don't shout (at me)
Just permit me to wish for everybody on Poetry Soup
That we write on in 2021 ~ encourage one and all in our group
