A New Year's Toast

We must forget the past and work,
together for a brighter morn.
Let hatred die with the old year,
and let our new future be born.

So, let us touch our glasses,
together in a toast to better ways.
Here’s to your prosperity my friends,
may life bring you better days.

If you wouldn't mind a little collaboration , I could write a couple of stanzas to this poem, making your 2nd paragraph the refrain and put it to music, just let me know my friend....

Thanks. I've written a few lyrics but the only instrument I can play is the radio and the bucket I use to carry a tune in, has the bottom all rusted out.
