A New Day

Fingers of dawn bring dewdrops falling, Tears for a brand new day; A rose coloured sky brings the lark calling A song she sings to bright May. The lilac is bending in her royal color, Lost in the purple of night; Star shine is softer and duller, A new day brings life's delight. Open the window and bend above me Dearest red rose, my sweet song; Shed your thorns if you love me For nights without you are so long. The day is ours, and daylight is breaking Sweet drowsy eyes of grey; You won't question an early waking When the wings of night fly away.

Aren't sunrises/sunsets the best? Ever driven during one? Especially a sunrise? They can really hit home. Just like this piece did...

There's so many days we have in a life time. And too many words about lost love that rhyme. Hearts unrequainted will stir in the night. If you ask me, it just isn't right.
