A More Abundant Life
I realize sometimes you feel lonely and depressed
for I, too, suffer from Seasonal Affective Disease Disorder (SADD)
and, sometimes, I find it hard to see beyond the doom and gloom.
But, if I may, I am going to suggest
that you follow me into another room
where “joy unspeakable and full of glory”*
can transform your weary mind and heart
into a vehicle for all that is lovely.
For in this life you, too, can experience peace of mind,
by turning your life over to the One who gave his life
that “you may have life and have it more abundantly.”**
When you embrace your new-found faith in Christ
and learn to put your trust in him,
you will find the strength to overcome your disappointments,
and you can do all things “through Christ, who strengthens you.”***
