"a moment longer"

before you leave
grant me a kiss for us both to wear
and stay a moment longer
while within warmth of arms and chest
caress my soul
and stay a moment longer
while being dangerously near you
lets sing together "Something Good"
and stay a moment longer
when thinking of us
hold the thought
and stay a moment longer

I love the repetition in your poem and how you gently weave 'you' 'me' and 'us'. It is done with beauty, tenderness and that unassuming romantic flare that never fails to deeply touch the reader/listener . . . for this poem could be a song:) Amitiés

"Something tells me I'm into something good" That is the perfect theme song for your poetry my friend because I always find "Something good" when I come here. Well actually something amazing, but that is not a song title that I know of. You do love poetry so well Lisa. It is easy to feel your heart in your words. This one really sings to me.

Hello Chris. Morning. Oh I love that song also and now am singing to it. (thanks a lot lol) The song I have in mind here is the one from The Sound of Music with Maria and the Captain.
