It was two thousand years ago
                   when Jesus walked the earth.
He told man of His love for them.
                   Their Savior, Lord and King.

He was the perfect lamb of God,
                     the ultimate sacrifice.
He came to mend the broken heart
                     that Adam had destroyed.

                      In that garden long ago,
                              "Man ~ Died."

Oh! How it must have broken God's heart
                        when Adam, he defied.
When Eve gave him the fruit to eat,
She said it would make them wise.

God put a curse on that snake.
He sent him to the ground.
He said, "One day I'll send someone."
                        to bring old Satan down.

He kept His word, and sent His Son,
who was crucified on that tree.
He took man's sins upon him.
He died for you and me.

                        On that blessed morning,
                        when Jesus, He did rise.
                           He mended the heart
                     between God and mankind.

                              Thank God!
                          Man! will survive.

It was Providential you use the singular fir GEART, sister Deb. Your last line reveals - by Spirit - God sees His Creation as one heart. That needs mending. Extension if Hus own heart? Returned to this, PTL

Hello, Valsa. The account of Jesus' death on the cross has been repeated for centuries and never grows old. Thank you, my dear friend for your comment. Blessings ~ Debra

I often think on Christ's suffering and the thought that I feel so cruel is that He sffered for ALL our sins, but so many do not profit from such salvation. That is why He sweated blood.
