In the deep silence of the night when perplexity Confuses the mind, I feel your power descend upon me, Surrender becomes inevitable As I become malleable under the hammer of love. I view you, approach mid sea, alone, resplendent In the pale rays of the dazzling moonlight, As if you were an enigmatic ghost drawing near In a flimsy wisp of a whirling nightly mist, Treading the waves, splashing your body with vigour. Come closer, come, I'm not afraid, Sing an echoing mermaid song for me, Or slide into an enticing dance of love. I thrive upon such inexplicable endeavours, Where nocturnal elfin whispers and dreamy antics, So pleasing to the sensuousness of the mind, Combine to please the florid sensitive nerves Of this old, tired and jaded mind.

Beautiful journey with you dear Victor . I traveled through the flimsy wisp of a whirling nightly mist into the waters to behold the splendor of her who holds your attention. I love nocturnal elfin whispers and dreamy antics ! Sending all good wishes to you along with big hugs , Susan :)

There is such an aura of mystery and romance about them - they appeal to the sensuous part of man's thinking and goodness knows, if an alien visiting earth would jump into the ocean to follow her, what a headline that would make in tomorrows news! Loved this poem. Hugs blessings, Jennifer.

How can such fantastic fancies and lines of verse come from 'an old, tired and jaded mind' ? It is impossible, dear Victor.
