A wonderful tribute to James Edward Lee, Sr., Curtis. Appreciation and gratitude I think go hand in hand and your poem brings this home along with having a deep respect for James as well. God bless you and James. :) ~ Artsie

wow, what a wonderful poem you wrote for James Edward Lee!! Has he not seen this? It's really a great analogy you created! (I have noticed many poets happen to have the name of James!)

Curtis, I had a really lovely sixth grade teacher too. For her, I got confidence in myself because she thought so highly of me. Did you hear of Tim Ryerson's passing? It is in a blog. Did you know that sweet man?

Glad to know someone else had a great sixth grade teacher. We could certainly use more like that in the classroom today. In answer to your question, no, I didn't know Mr. Ryerson but if you endorse him, he had to have been a truly nice person.

Thank you, Line. James and I, though we've never met, have formed a truly wonderful bond through Poetry Soup. I must one day write a poem or perhaps a book revealing the many friends I have made on Soup. Your name, of course, would be there. You have been so supportive and encouraging to me --- a real inspiration, and I appreciate it greatly.
