A Lonely Road
The memories are heavy in my mind
but still I carry this load.
Slowly I try to find the pieces
but they were lost down that deserted road.
I've been traveling for awhile now
and not once looked back over my shoulder.
Somehow I've managed to stay well
rested as the days get colder.
I notice signs along the way
and try to decipher the code.
It's getting lonely on this highway
and I cross a railroad.
I made the decision and I'm sticking to it.
Before you swallow this thought you
need to chew it.
I'm ready for the next episode,
And my journey finally ends as I come to
a crossroad!
