A Lonely Cloud
"I wandered lonely as a cloud" William Wordsworth
"i wandered lonely
as a cloud"
dark and dreary
i was not proud
i lingered on
the edge of day
a darkened rift
i chose to stay
i befell my pain
in salted tears
lost within
my stolen years
in crimson ink
i've cried these drops
flooding thoughts
of memories's crops
i hid your sun
in shadow's cast
made you see
my saddened past
left you breathless
beneath mind's rage
made you wish
to turn the page
i hung about
a chill of wind
that time itself
could not rescind
i wander still
a lonely cloud
through the darkness
of death's own shroud
i shed my tears
in salted rain
as i wallow
within this pain
