A Lone Star Pun

A cowgirl got bucked off her horse
And flew through the air with some force
A prickly pear
Caught her right where
A lack of chaps caused her remorse!

Unlike cholla (hooked spines) prickly pear cactus slides in and out. Cattle feed on it. Aloha!

The doctor was there to assist, || Yanking spines with a flick of the wrist. || A bit out of practice, || Plucked other than cactus, || And shortly encountered her fist.
