Sad...Every so often we hear of one dying from that horrific accident..I know that they know there is always the possibility but most think it won't happen to me because I will be very careful..Enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for the visit to my page.Sara

It's barbaric and not 'sport' and its a surprise not more have been killed in the ring. I have read that in Pamplona they have the bull running through the streets and tragedies have occurred :-( hugs jan xx

Hooray for the bull!! Bullfighting has to be the cruelest of sports along with cock fights and dog fights.

One for the bull! I think that category you are looking for is a senryu, Jan! When I was on the farm I never approached the Bulls when they were on heat! Other than that they were fun to ride! Haha! Nicely done!

I'm not sure of the category Budgie as I see so many poems classified as 'haiku' that appear to have no link to nature. I will leave it as a haiku and ask advice from Andrea as she placed so well in Chris's last contest:-) hugs jan xx

It is dangerous Jan...great imagery...a Spanish matador was just killed in France last week.

Thanks Jospeh:-) I never know if I have written a haiku - I woke with this poem in my head and I like the irony of the words with the bull seeing red:-) :-) hugs Jan xx

Nicely done Jan. This does happen at times, it take someone tough or crazy to be a bullfighter. Myself I don't like the sport because I don't like seeing harm come to any animal, but I guess this time the animal came out on top.

I think it is a barbaric 'sport' and this incident happened in Spain last year and I read that it was the first death of a matador in the ring in 30 years. :-( hugs Jan xx

I read an article on a matador who was gored to death in the ring. I personally thing bullfighting is barbaric but some people seem to enjoy the 'sport' . I don't know if its a haiku and wish there was a category for 'three line poetry':-) hugs Jan xx
