For Eve Roper's Get Into The Conversation Poetry Contest

Sister, will you buy for me a pastry in the window? Oh, it looks so nice and sweet. Please don’t say we have to go. It’s so cold. Oh, can’t we go inside this little shop, please? The cream puffs looks so tasty, and I think I’m going to freeze. Let’s go inside. It looks so warm. You have some money, don’t you? Please, oh please, my sister dear, I know you want a sweet too!

Andrea, thank you for taking part in the contest and congratulations on your win. You set a heartfelt scene of hunger and being cold in the chill weather. God bless

It would take a hard-hearted person not to buy a sweet for a little boy shivering in the cold. Blessings.

In my head I heard “How much is that doggy in the window?” This is delightfully sweet. I hope his sister relented.

This is touching poem Andrea. There are many impoverished children in this world with need of food and the simplest of decent clothing. It is so sad. May God bless them wherever they are and send compassionate angels their way.

Anne Lise wrote a tearjerker on this photo. Yours is more hopeful. Maybe they'll both end up with a sweet treat
