how to thank you,
Oh God...

Do I need to choose carefully my words Oh God
when all that I want to do
is to kneel down, clasp my two hands,
close my eyes
and pray?
Do I need to think of exciting words Oh God
just to utter my every running thoughts:
from creeping vines of rejection
or immediately you'll ease
my budding petals of tears?

I am very grateful
that I do not need to do these
for You are always there to reassure me,
telling me, You know me all. Powerful
and marvelous, ever faithful
to answer my every call.
Never too late. Never too soon.
The timing is perfect.
Never wrong.
I love You my Father God
from the first smile of sunshine in my life
to the waking-glory of evening skies
where upon soft pillows, I'll rest my head
from a long day of work.
I am blessed that
You planned it all for me.
Trials You have sent,
they bend and challenged me
but also they have molded
and polished my individuality.
They made me cry
and sometimes broke my heart
but I thank You for
they have been my footstools.
Footstools for me
to reach where I am now,
they pushed me harder,
to run further,
dream bigger,
embrace the world a bit better,
I growing more and more...
Prettier than pink,
fresher than green,
brighter than gold,
happier than yellow,
deeper than red....
No other words other than,
I love you and I thank you..
I know a lifetime of these
is never enough
to show my appreciation...
but today and always,
I welcome You to take control of my life,
I surrender to you every plan I want to pursue
I pray that You allow to happen the ones
that will kindle Your grin...

How wonderful, wonderful thou Art
Divine and ever rich in mercy
You showed to me real charity
I refuse to be shaken
Nor I will not be moved
Amidst trials, I will stand through
Knowing You will come, soon and true...
You are my rock to whom I shall stand
No weapons can stop me to walk on
Ever since You breathe life to me
You made me already victorious...
