A Glass For the Hour
As though we are sands
through a glass for the hour
When sands have run course,
we then have no power
To turn about play
and begin a new run
Likes sands through the glass,
when it’s done, it is done
And so, we must live
watching those come before us
Slip away, one by one,
Like a song, sung in chorus
To wonder the glass
as so low runs the tide
To see, like the sands,
what awaits other side
