Meandering around my garden I invite my love to smell the fragrance And hope for the best. I must pick the best flora on earth. For love says it with flowers. But…. Does she still love me? Or has our love dissipated In the dank mist of never land? Would she choose some forget-me-nots? Or an elegant bunch of jasmine? Better still white carnations should suit her more. Shall I add some pink daffodils, a new beginning? Or a cluster of cherry blossom That should send her to paradise. I find a ruby red rose that smells like heaven And give it to her with a smile. She cannot help but smell the flower, Oh, how wonderfully perfumed! But suddenly I hear her yell in pain. A small thorn pierces her finger, Softly red blood oozes out. Let me prick mine I suggest, We will mix our blood And then we will be forever in love. She smiles and puts some blood on my lips And give me the most passionate kiss That sends me up to paradise.

Victor, your writing and setting are so wonderfully charming. This is an excellent tutorial for appreciating the function of the many types of flowers. Your metaphors, which are replete with a wonderful odor and associated with magnificent diction, bring forth a poem that ought to be a Poem of the Day.
