A Friend Falls

Deep pain when a close friend falls gravely ill You must understand, reader As I know that such things have happened to you A sudden hole in your life and you lose a part of the strength you have Never pleasant when someone close to you is in dire straits One can only pray for their recover and light the proverbial candle and not curse the oncoming darkness

Matthew, I prayed for my girlfriend to heal from her illness, but she did not make it. The doctors could not do any more for her. She passed away. a few days before Easter.

gosh you are always doing so many fun things, matt!! What you told me at my poem. But this is a sad poem and I know what you mean. so many I knew as a child have passed on and now it's my own peers going away . so scary.
