A Fly on the Wall

If a fly on the wall I could be,
some celebrities I'd want to see -
like the ones that got missed
from Sean Diddy's guest list.
I'd get buzzed on a fact-finding spree.

Bored with wicked rich stars, I'd fly to
where the schemes of elitists I'd view.
Just beware. Flies like me
are as sly as can be,
and right now I am looking at you!

Very clever and well deserving of a win. We were right about mine, you may recall I failed to follow directions and wrote about past rather than current history. (can history be current? is that an oxy?) Anyway, congrats! I have much to catch up on and I'm sure you've penned more wonderful word combinations. LOVE

Congratulations on your well deserved win in this contest with a punchy poem. What a bold fly you aspire to be. Wicked celebrities need to beware. Wish you a pleasant end of week.

Congratulations, Andrea, on your 2nd place win. Light, cheeky, and conspiratorial—the closing twist (‘and right now I am looking at you!’) captures the sly voyeurism implied by the idiom.

Both limericks are clever, cute and entertaining, Andrea. I messed up, wrote about past events, didn't want to rewrite so I just changed first 2 lines and entered. I haven't high hopes. This though should go all the way, but I think I saw that you posted another w/ same title. I'm off to check that out

I like yours better than mine. But hmm I forgot the thing about not writing of past events. . dang. I hope it doesn't ruin things to or you

It looks like you posted this twice (almost) but with two stanzas instead of three. I like it either way. Great lol :) <3

The less I know about stars, the better off I am. So many I do not watch anymore, some great actors and actresses, singers, etc., because of what should have remained their private lives and opinions. Just the way I am. No apology.
