A FISHY TALE

I’m resting in bed
with an aching head.
Ma’s fussing and said
“I’ve cooked a huge fish
it’s truly delish”
I try to feign sleep,
pretend to count sheep
but I want to weep!

 
I’m craving beef steak,
rich cheese pasta bake
or a slice of cake!
Ma made me pike pie
And I cannot lie
I started to cry.
My pike pie I squish
I loathe this fish dish!
