A Dream
Outside my window these is a tree
Which is a symbol of only me
As I looked at the water
Where the milk mans daughter
Was wiggling her toes into neat little rows
I saw the guard dog dressed fireman’s wear
And from the chimney the smoke did stare
The flowers sat my window’s ledge
And painted their faces and danced to the edge
While the ants marched to the drummers beat
And the grass withered in the summers heat
From the top of a willow a sparrow spoke
And the cat laughed at the squirrels joke
I felt a stirring upon my face
My heart was beating at quite a pace
It was then I felt a gentle poke
And so it was that I then awoke!!!
