A Doll's Tissue

A porcelain vein under my skin,
Open burning of doll's eyes,
Girl rising to a pink end —
This just daybreak

Open burning of doll's eyes,
Black fire in her hair,
Girl rising to a pink end —
~Remember~ her shelf life, bare

Black fire in her hair,
Girl rising to a pink end,
~Remember~ her shelf life, bare —
A porcelain vein under my skin

Dear Paige, your imagery is intriguing and unique relating yourself to a "doll". "Open burning of doll's eyes" is striking and vivid.. wide open and staring! "~Remember~ her shelf life, bare —" seems like a lonely if not very sad existence. Your creativity shines! Warmest wishes my poet friend.. ~Susan

The Pantoum is well-made. Since then, I have neglected to write any. Thanks to you, I'm thinking about giving it a go. Pleasure was mine.

I read this three times and I just can't figure it out. I'm sure it's got some really awesome metaphorical meaning. Any hints?

Hello, Tom! It's just what I (the doll) feel, when measured - using metaphors. I made a doll personal. Used her in relating to myself.
