A Doc Named Corcoran

The visiting doctor, the pediatrician, the family man - came and played He played on our Hammond organ, sat on the storage bench, opened one of the books. Those compassionate fingers ran across the keys and leapt into our memories. My sister was home sick, and he came and he cared for her and pleasurable was his visit, as my mom would recall for us.

Gosh! Thank you for reminding me of that long-gone pleasure of our youngest days -- home visits from the Doctor! Ours pediatrician used to eat dinner with us occasionally. He was quite the sparkling conversationalist and humorist - in addition to being a warm, caring, completely competent physician. Thanks, Kim.

Dear Kim, I loved this story of your kind organ playing doctor. Housecalls-a blast from the past. But, the doctor was called because your sister was homesick? Oh , home sick! LOl Robert

LOL, Robert! Can you imagine if we called the doc because we were homesick? House calls are amazing…imagine getting to know a person…family…instead of just a number! God bless you, dear one!
