A Day In Kilmarnock

Distress! Driven by time tension, traffic, turmoil, Washington D.C. drags me down. Taking the train to nearby Kilmarnock, antiques and art shops fill my day. At KC's Crabs and Cues, food and pool will dis stress!

This is just lovely Reason. It is so important for body and soul to get away from stress. We have a few places like that here. Kilmarnock sounds wonderful. Congratulations on your win with this little gem. Blessings xxoo

Congratulations! I love the contrast from beginning to end! You crafted this poem beautifully to show the difference between work and play and the role stress plays in our lives! Much love...Meghan

Great! I actually felt quite stressed myself reading the first three 'lines' so your choice of vocabulary worked very well!

Two of the stressors of most of us: Time and Traffic add some Tension and Turmoil and you've got the American way of life. Thank God for places of rest and relaxation. I appreciate your comment more than you know.

Real nice piece Reason, it's amazing I should see this after you commenting on my recent piece as I am in Scotland and lived in Kilmarnock, Scotland for the first 37 years of my life and often visit it now and again as I'm only 30 miles north of it now. Hope you're having great day, Gordon

Thanks Gordon, glad for the read and informative comment. Watching my 4 year old grandson today- he’s still asleep. Our Kilmarnock was likely named for yours.

thanks, Kim Sorry, I'm a little late but in retrospect to 2017 when our lives changed for the better despite the stress we went through in June, July and August of that year. The last 4 years have been heavenly.
