A Day at the Beach

No one there to bother A child and her father Walking slowly hand in hand Over cool pristine sand The sun so scorching hot Over there a perfect spot Such a lucky fella Under an umbrella He watches as his daughter Timid toe in the water Shrieking seeking shelter Running helter skelter Just like a bird in flight What innocent delight Lifelong memories to keep Next to oceans oh so deep
