A Chipmunk Named Georgie Mcgee

He owned a pet chipmunk named Georgie McGee
who loved to eat almonds while counting to three
little by little he inched his way in
nuzzling sweetly right up to Quinn
who never thought squirrels could live duty free

He ravaged tomatoes and ate little leaves
while Quinnie reviewed every pet peeve
he dug up the flowers
and never did shower
as he squabbled and quabbled without a reprieve

He never did shoe him nor send him away
for happy go lucky would eat then make way
he ate from his finger
but never did linger
how old he was? well, he never did say !

Hello Pixie ... I know little about squirrels, but what I've seen on the telly, they fast, cheeky, and very intelligent. I dare say, some can be annoying though, like the monkeys of India - thanks for posting this enjoyable limerick set Pixie - Lindsay

True love. How often my cat jumps on my lap, between me and my computer, wanting petting when I in the height of creativity. I always stop. He wins...really, we both win. Lovely ready, Pixie.

I love it that he "squabbled and quabbled". My favorite part!

So adorable, Pixie, I can see the little fella curled up with his human, snacking away on almonds...

I can relate to the scene. A fun read, Vienna.
