A Childs Need
I am a grown woman
Yet sometimes I don’t feel that way
At times I still feel like that little girl
Who just wants her mum here today
The kindness and reassurance I felt as your child
Compares to none
You showed pure unconditional love
How I miss that now my sweet mum
You held my hand ,stroked my face
Told me it would be ok
You made me feel completely safe and secure
My little girl fears faded away
I miss the feel of your small soft hands
Which held mine so lovingly
That little girl still needs her mum
A yearning that will always be….
