A Broken World

I don't want to cause alarm But there is a lot of harm Heading our way if we can't Find a new love seed to plant Growing into a tree of hearts Maybe then this world can start Showing kindness once again Strangers becoming a friend Saying hello with a smile Easing up on the hate pile That's getting bigger every day Stomping till it fades away Back in the ground not to return Maybe one day we will learn Violence hate and prejudice Things that should never exist Replaced by all the good we hide Standing together side by side Making a wall big and sturdy So wide and tall it can be The blockade we need to erase This huge negative disgrace That should never have been born Into our world, now it is torn Into pieces of a puzzle That a world wide hug will Put back together, stuck like glue Never broken by me or you
