A Broken Victory

A Broken Victory A victory found to be hollow and not worth a dime for in destroying your spirit I seem to have lost mine Justice sometimes comes upon us so very swift like a well earned and shocking little gift I found bountiful benefit from mine for a guiding light it did also shine As a path it did so desperately send me on far away from a hateful and wicked throne One of us had to finally give so both of us could finally live Would have been better had it been you your heart knows it and I do too. --------Robert L.

It always amazes me when I come across affirmation, time and time again, that the world is one....you are me and I am you...whatever I do to you I dot to myself! Love this Robert. Will definitely be back to enjoy your poems! Always, Annalise

What amazes me is this write gets more views than other I have presented here. Yet only one comment while others have gotten many comments. I think my latest write presented tonight is the best one yet but who knows... Thanks for your comments on my other offerings my friend.

The world is one and we are joined by the human spirit. A spirit that can be as awesomely great as it is bad . It is wonderful when its great and desperately sad when its bad. I marvel at those that had relationships/marriages that last five or six decades! Love is meant to endure yet mankind has free will and free will is very often a destroyer. A destroyer of what is good and sadly a destroyer of love. Far too many have felt its wrath. Some of us far too many times.
