Technology ascending Traditional religion ending Robots comprehending Life's secrets upending Black holes extending Cyber wars impending Electronic devices contending Wizard-like gurus pretending Media noise unrelenting Massive armament-spending Extremism transcending Holocausts never ending How much better now, our enlightened Life -- Man's Progress measured in Death, Polarization and Strife

I like to think -- perhaps I'm kidding myself, of course -- that different interpretations is a sign of a real poem, in that it's given the reader/viewer latitude to roam. Israel is one of the best nations on earth and protects itself. America is too and as other nations must be prepared for attack. The POTUS is not a war monger. CNN and MSNBC and the NYT distorts truth every second and it's not fair to anyone. The media needs a shirt with a big D on it for deceit, they will crown 666 upon his arrival. Meanwhile, here we are. Doing theif bidding and hating our country. The poem is very on point..but with no arms we are dead meat. Panagiota

As they say, take away the Arabs' arms, and you'd have peace in the Middle East; take away Israel's arms, and you'd have the end of Israel...Overall, in terms of armaments, it seems we're damned if we do (ratchet up the numbers) and damned if we don't (ratchet them up). Since that is too fine a balance to maintain, we keep ratcheting up, ensuring MAD / Mutual Assured Destruction.... Time for the Messiah to come! Thank you for your thoughtful comment. :) gw
