A birdhouse hanging
On a metal pole 
In the flower garden

I wonder if a bird
Has made it a home

If the bird built a nest
Or if the birdhouse is 
empty

I built one for my wife's garden, she loves the doves, but the cockatoo's knoked it down, I seem only to be a rhyming poet myself, pretty standard poetry, but I enjoyed the feeling in this piece x

Hello Robert, Moore, I am going to try to get back to rhyming. I like free verse. My muse wants to create this type of poetry. I do change to other forms though. In a hanging plant a robin has made a nest, She has 3 eggs laid, I am waiting for the babies to be born. x

I like this Darlene. I don't have a birdhouse, but I ought to get one. The birds come to my feeders, but don't seem to use the bird bath. I hope you see them use it :)
