A-Lone
Once upon a time of day,
I sat A-Lone the month was May
I never knew what caused this thing
I should have been A-Dult that spring
But I was not, I was A-Lone
When someone called me on the phone
It was A-buse I wasn't home
I lied and said I was A-Dapt
A-Lone was gone that was a fact
Just then oh what else should I hear
Another ringing in my ears
And then a knocking at the door
I opened to find A-Dore
Who said we must go out just then
We had a date to meet A-Gain
So quickly with a click and clack
I hung the phone up just like that
A-Buse could wait till I got back
Then we went out and down the street
I looked, oh my who should we meet
It was A-Buse, so indiscreet
To act as though we saw him not
To pass him by became the plot
But hark, my name flew through the air
It was A-miss, life isn't fair
A-miss was loud and we were seen
It was a mess A-Buse got mean
Then just as everything went wrong
Right behind him came A-Long
A-Long who sang a different song
They started to argue, me oh me
So off I ran to find A-Gree
But when I was just out of voice
I realized, this was my choice
Then I sat down and breathed a moan
How good it was to be A-Lone
