-whisper-

Word: Whisper
Through everything, the screaming and shouting,
Do you hear that? I guess not, I was a fool to think you would.
If you would take your hands off your ears and open your minds,
You'd be able to hear what you should.
The whisper of a human drowning in this loud world,
Someone trying to shut out the voices of judgement.
Someone trying to find peace and solitude, but they didn't realize it,
Having to shout was a requirement.
The whisper of someone trying to make it through the world,
Someone trying to find their place and enjoy living.
Someone finally closing their eyes to reality,
For they couldn’t find the worth of breathing.
“Open your ears, open your minds,” that voice whispers so loudly,
It's just you that is being ignorant like the rest.
And if another light disappears from this spinning world,
You can't say that you tried your best.
If another voice were to go silent, would you help them speak again?
Or would you continue to ignore and continue like you do?
I was a fool, I'll leave, for I know humans can't change,
But one day, you'll find a whispering voice really needs you.
Open your ears and you might just find it.
