The Secret
Miracle Man

I buried a secret in an unmarked grave,
this secret was birthed many years ago.
I’ve lived my life as this secret’s slave,
knowing no other living person did know.
I observed something not intended for me,
but it pierced my young heart, like a knife.
I thought it too much for my eyes to see,
at seventeen I left home to seek a new life.
I’ve long since forgiven but can’t forget,
and today this unmarked grave is ajar.
Once more with this secret I’m now beset,
LORD remove from me this memory mar.
“If you really want to keep a secret
you don’t need any help”
