The Drinking Poem
The Drinking Poem
(the drinking poem)Sad Turns Glad
Some depression before breakfast is hard for me to ignore
The heart so used to alcohol to even up the score
The brain desiring numbing to underscore the pain
The turpitude of limitless happenings designed to cause a man to drink
The itch and triggers gone eye live between the tempt
My happiness is missing me she has so much to do
When my love has come to me and reassured my fate
Then my sadness turns to happiness this date
My sad will turn to glad when ewe
have come
