Special Child's Freedom
Surmounting imprisoning boundaries
my special child freely wheels himself
prevailing over wheelchair’s throne
having thrown cares’* scare to the Father above
though bound by “global developmental delay”
ascending midst God’s boundless grace
for faith-flight, wondrously liberating
defying fright of liberation blight
around his place where he plays
with mirth-reign midst blessings’ rain
toward zealous wellness
healed by the Lord's miraculous touch.
*1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
