Remembering When - Contest
I remember when:
Manners were important
Simple things like please and thank you
Giving up your seat for someone elderly
As a lady doors were held open too.
I remember when:
Common courtesy was a norm
Never too busy to pass on by
You didn’t take things for granted
Your home was a haven from hurt and lies
I remember when:
Taxi drivers opened their doors for you
not stay sitting by the wheel
Streets were clear of litter,
Life was for living, not surreal.
I remember when:
Mobile phones weren’t in existence
People went out of their way to contact you
You could eat a meal without interruption
Writing a letter was a pleasure too
I remember when:
