Remembering When - Contest

I remember when: Manners were important Simple things like please and thank you Giving up your seat for someone elderly As a lady doors were held open too. I remember when: Common courtesy was a norm Never too busy to pass on by You didn’t take things for granted Your home was a haven from hurt and lies I remember when: Taxi drivers opened their doors for you not stay sitting by the wheel Streets were clear of litter, Life was for living, not surreal. I remember when: Mobile phones weren’t in existence People went out of their way to contact you You could eat a meal without interruption Writing a letter was a pleasure too I remember when:

Russell it wasnt so long ago when manners were important, they were instilled into myself and my sisters, once attained you never forget them. if only the children of today were encouraged to use them. I know some parents do teach them, i just hope that the children never forget them....Seren
