Psalm

In changing of the seasons that go on unceasingly, from winter until fall; in each day's path from day until the dawn - I see so much, yet I've not seen it all. This world, of which I am so very fond, contains a fraction of creation's art that God has wrought in all the worlds beyond! Oh, sun above, shine on and fill my heart with radiance of beauty; let me know that we have value to a loving God though we be as the grains of sand below. Shine on, oh moon and stars, I'm ever awed! All that we know and all we've yet to see are proof of God for all eternity. Sept. 24, 2019 for Regina Riddle's Write A Psalm Poetry Contest

thanks for reminding me I even wrote this. I can't believe how in 2001 I could count my poems out and know all of them , their titles, etc. But now 20 years later I can't even remember decent ones I already wrote like this one just a year or two ago!! Thanks again.

I remember stumbling upon this a few weeks ago and loving it, I'm surprised I didn't leave a comment then. So God-honoring and reverential. If only the original Psalm writers wrote in English sonnet form, it would be so much easier to sing them, haha! I especially like the line "that we have value to a loving God". Awesome all around, a fav for me ~ John

lovely Andrea. I have been so tired I have not had the energy to connect with the Divine until this morning, pain is less and was outside sitting watching the birds eating the birdseed, sun was just starting to emerge into something golden, so you poem was perfect reminder.

Nice piece. Soon I will go to synagogue to face the one before whom there is no pretense. Jewish New Year coming up - and the Day of Atonement. Eternity is waiting for us both. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
