My Misery
My misery always rides with me
Under over-passes down dead end streets
She knots my stomach so I can't eat
My eyes beg her to let them sleep.
Awake all night with my misery.
My misery loves October gray
She's glad the birds have flown away
Watches dead weeds in an icy wind sway.
She smiles at cold rain and misty spray.
Awake all night with my misery.
My misery finds corners in which to hide
To jump out and scream at me at night
To remind me of my pitiful life
My failures pair with my wounded pride.
Awake all night with my misery.
My misery, hates your style
She hates your warm and loving smile
You love evoke all her jealousy.
Pity me, stay with me, so I won't be-
Awake all night with my misery.
